  What is Wireless Charging and How Does It Work?

  So how does all the magic work behind the scenes? Here’s a quick primer:

  1. There’s a small receiver induction coil made of copper inside your phone.
      2. There’s also a copper transmitter coil located in the wireless charger.  
  2.  3. When you place your phone on the wireless charger, the transmitter coil receives and converts energy from the magnetic field.  
  3.  4. The energy is then turned into electricity to power the phone. This is known as electromagnetic induction.   In essence, the receiver (phone) “communicates” with the charging station. If the phone gives the green light to receive power, then successful wireless charging is achieved.
